Last Thursday evening, March 8th, 2018, Waterford Elementary School gained a hero, Decker Sleek. After school, Decker got off the bus and went to visit a local neighbor. On his way, Decker stopped and was distracted by something that was occurring at another house on the road to his destination. When Decker arrived at his neighbor's house, he threw himself to the ground in a falling scene and insisted the neighbor come with him to check things out. Upon arrival, the neighbor realized that Decker had been alerting him to the fact that a lady had fallen outside and was yelling for help. Decker had been the only person to see or hear her and he immediately sprang into action to help. All is well with the injured lady and we now have a hero at Waterford Elementary School. Way to go Decker! We are so proud of you!
