Relay for BrAva
Please join Waterford Elementary School Wildcats for their first virtual end of year celebration!
While we have done a fun field day for the past several years to raise money for BrAva and the American Cancer Society, this year the celebration will be just a little bit different.
Students will still have the opportunity to honor loved ones and raise money for our very own local BrAva.
Students and parents may share the link for a GoFundMe account where the proceeds will go directly to BrAva. When pledging on the Go Fund Me page, parents may add a picture of their child with their sign. Friends may add the student’s name or class they represented through their donation.

On Wednesday, May 20, students may join in a special Zoom field day. Invites will follow!

During the Zoom meeting, students can wear their favorite Waterford Wildcat T-shirt and share their sign honoring their loved one(s). As time permits, each child will have an opportunity to speak and share the names of those they are honoring.
Please send a picture with the student and their sign to Nanette.varnadoe@wolfcreeklocal.org. All pictures received before Wednesday, May 20, will be put into a slide presentation and shared through the District website and the PTO Facebook page.
BrAva is a Mid-Ohio Valley non-profit organization dedicated to helping local families going through childhood cancer and raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer. BrAva began is 2011 and is named after BRidget, a cancer survivor, and AVA who lost her battle to childhood cancer. BrAva raises funds through our 5K Family Fun Day in September, our Mom Prom in April, and several fundraisers throughout the year.
