An organization to support the Waterford Agricultural Education Department and the Waterford FFA Chapter
Who can be a member of the Waterford FFA Alumni?
Anyone! 'Membership is open to anyone who supports FFA and agricultural education. As a member you will take an active part in building your community at the local, state, and national level. Your commitment helps ensure the continued success of America's premier youth leadership organization.' (taken from National FFA Alumni Web Site) So, basically, anyone who is interested in and supportive of the WHS Ag Ed Department and FFA can be a member.
What does it cost to be a member?
Annual membership dues are now $15. This amount pays for your state and national FFA alumni dues; currently, there are no local dues. Lifetime membership dues are $150, which takes care of both the state and national dues.
What does the Waterford FFA Alumni do?
Waterford FFA Alumni members help with chapter contests (helping to prepare members and judge chapter contests), chaperoning chapter trips and local activities, providing scholarships for seniors, other events. Also, the group currently meets four times per year, and meets during December for our annual WHS FFA Alumni Christmas Party.
Meeting Dates: The WHS FFA Alumni will hold four regular meetings per year, the second Wednesday in the month of October, December (Christmas party only), February & April.
In short, the WHS FFA Alumni is a support organization for the WHS FFA.
The Ohio FFA Alumni was established on August 27th, 1971; the official charter presentation was made on May 12th, 1972
